2009 E82 BMW 135i

I acquired this vehicle in February of 2018 with the intent to transform it into a track-orientated build that is still pleasant to drive on the street. It is an all original paint Alpine White over Coral Red example that is a great starting point to achieve this.

It features a slew of M-Performance parts, including their carbon fiber rear diffuser, carbon fiber rear spoiler with custom paint scheme, Alcantara steering wheel and shift knob. An iCarbon front lip helps add some aggression to the front end. There is a BR Racing roll bar painted in matching Alpine White, and a P3 vent gauge helps keep the driver informed of various information the factory gauge cluster can not. On the audio side of things, there is a full Bavsound speaker setup, replacing all the 25mm Tweeters, and 100mm Midranges in the car, as well as the Underseat Subwoofers. A more powerful amplifier has been installed in the factory location in the trunk, adding less than a pound of weight, but nearly doubling power output. This helps keep the often 4+ hour drives to the local tracks enjoyable, drowning out both the exhaust and road noise with ease.

The 3.0L Twin Turbo N54 motor produces 420 horsepower at the wheels on 91 octane, and is capable of more than 460 when ethanol is added to the mix. It breathes easily through the custom Fab Factory aluminum intake manifold, which pairs well with their custom aluminum turbo inlets, and charge pipes. An Active Autowerke intercooler helps keep intake temperatures as close to ambient as possible, and an HKS Blow-Off Valve helps relieve pressure. The motor can exhale freely through its Active Autowerke cat-less downpipes, which connect to a custom v-banded 3.5" mid pipe, which links back to a Berk Technology race cat-back. A JB4 G5 ISO allows for gauge hijacking and boost control, and pairs well with the BPM Sport flash. It is safe to say the power department is handled.

The vehicle is equipped with Broadway Static 510 coilovers with Swift Springs. As aesthetically pleasing as it currently is, it will be getting raised up in the near future to fit some additional tire under the fenders, and get the suspension geometry a bit closer to what BMW intended. Ground Control camber plates and M3 control arms in the front help provide the camber needed to reduce the understeer these cars are known for, along with adjustable rear arms. The 18" CCW Classics reduce weight over the factory wheels, and take full advantage of the room the fenders have to offer while managing to look great in the process.
